Scorch - photo by Dog House ArtsHavin Fun Pet Dog Agility Class is for people who are interested in having a fun hobby with their dogs. All equipment is done at a lowered height and lots of food treats are used to motivate our canine team member to climb, jump, weave and run through tunnels.

No homework is assigned in this class and all teams can repeat the class as often as they would like. This class does NOT prepare the team to eventually compete but is meant to provide an introduction to a fun hobby for both canines and their humans.

Class enrollment is kept to 8 teams so everyone receives some individual instruction.

We STRONGLY suggest that all teams who have never done agility before, start with this class to see if they even enjoy it before making a commitment to the long hours of training for competition.

Dog Requirements: Dogs can be purebred or All American! Dogs must be at least 6 months of age, have current vaccinations (including rabies) and preferably have taken at least one basic obedience class. To find an obedience class click here.

Human Requirements: Human team members must be at least ten years old and any child under the age of 15 must have a parent in attendance during class.

Both the humans and dogs must be tolerant of other people and dogs.

Cost: $60.00 for 2 one-hour long group lessons.

This class is currently being offered only in our Hollister location on Wednesday evenings. Please read our web pages on general class policies and agility for fun for specifics.

If you are interested in eventually competing with your dog, this class may be taken at the same time as Competition Foundation For Agility.
